you know, they didnt call it the
smelly beancurd for nothing.
I mean, at least some of us think
that since some people enjoy it so much,
it cant be that smelly, it's
probably exaggeration. ok fine, at least

and then disaster strikes,
i have walking along the pasar malam
downstairs by house and was pleasantly
surprised that there was a stall selling
the infamous beancurd.
and there was an abundance of space
since all the customers were standing
really really far away
so my cousin and i were really curious,
so we went upfront, right infront
of the fryer, and there was no foul smell!
so we thought, omg theyre really making it up.
THEN, as we were leaving,
i was greeted with this pungent smell,
that reminded me of belachan, which made sense
since theyre both fermented stuff,
that wasnt the end!
some rotten disintegrated engine smell came not soon after.
the mixture was serious appalling.
we werent the most badly hit victims.
the stall next to it was!
poor woman!
now i really wonder how it tastes like.
brrrr.
what a traumatic night.
